Positive Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do - TopicsExpress

Positive Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Negative Golden Rule: Do not do unto others as you do not want them to do unto you. Treat all people, whoever and wherever they may be, as if THEY ARE AS IMPORTANT AS OURSELVES. (Because they are). That which is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor. She said that is the entire message of the Torah. Any interpretation of scripture that is hateful is wrongly interpreted. We should all feel empowered to challenge uncompassionate speech, and disdainful remarks. We dont have to fall in love with each other, we just have to try to be friends. If we have common goals (reviving the Golden Rule), our differences will meld away. ted/talks/karen_armstrong_let_s_revive_the_golden_rule#t-459762
