Possibly one of the most beautiful things ever happened to my daughter last night... Jes is a shopaholic, sad but true, she loves pretty things and spoils all she loves... About two years ago she came upon a lil pawn shop close to the Military base where Moto was stationed, they had all sorts of jewelry. Jes found the most beautiful ring for purchase, it was absolutely gorgeous... After buying it we noticed inside it had an inscription which read We... It kind of made us sad and inspired many thoughts as to who We could possibly be and how We came about parting with such a beautiful ring... SO last night Jes was hosting a dinner party where she works and normally she works behind the bar but on this particular night she was asked to help the servers. The party was huge, apparently there was a wedding being planned. As time went on Jes got comfortable with her customers one of the girls noticed her ring and said That is the most unusual setting I have ever seen, just beautiful. She asked Jes to show it to her sister(the brides mother)who happened to be sitting next to her father(brides grandfather)When she did, the father lit up as if he had just seen a ghost and asked if there was an inscription inside the ring that read We? Apparently over 40years ago in Hawaii where his late wife was stationed during the Vietnam war and he gone to war the wedding ring had been lost or stolen... He had told his daughters of the story many times and how the ring was their Mothers pride and joy, one of a kind that they had designed it together with another soldier who was a jeweler and the We inscription was to symbolize him returning home to her and being We forever... It was the most incredible feeling ever to be able to return a part of someones past for him to pass on to his Grand daughter to be part of her future... My daughter was crying alongside the family, knowing what its like to hold onto a memory... So its so amazing how so many things were by chance the family originally had planned to dine somewhere else but at last minute changed there minds, my daughter was initially off but picked up a shift and ended up not being needed behind the bar......... A ring lost in Hawaii ends up back by a military base in NC several decades later to be returned to the owner in SC just in time to make someones most special day a little more special.....
