Post: #1 | Blue Ribbon: WKU #2 Blue Ribbon WKU #2 Next up on BR’s list go figure it’s WKU If you pick the SBC every year, it is hard to not pick WKU and USA 1 and 2 every year but with GSU being picked 1st WKU coached by the best x/o’s coach in the SBC are #2. Ray Harper is the best coach in the SBC period to me. I don’t know about his recruiting but just straight up game day coaching, he is the best to me. WKU has been hurt the last couple of years but Harper has some pg help this year and price and fant are really good SBC players. Price can shoot the ball and has a mid-range game to go with it. Fant is the kind of kid that lands in the SBC but if he is 2 inches taller is a BCS starter. Daouda Soumaoro was offered by Villanova and Washington before transferring from Texas Tech and should help WKU down low. Add some depth at pg and you have a team that has won the tournament 2 years in a row that is battle tested and well coached. How do you pick against them? I don’t know but I will take good coaching over Tony Mitchell fanfare any day of the week. WKU wins the whole thing again as they close the door on their days in the SBC. As a basketball fan, if saddens me to see the bell cow basketball school leave the SBC.
