Post from a lady on an Exotic animal page!!~It made too much sense not to Share it~~ Over the last 10 years the controversy over living with exotic animals has become a popular subject to debate. States are I believe, all over reacting to a small number of events which could have been avoided. The humans involved had they been more responsible could have prevented these events. That being said should we be licensed to become parents of human children. The horrific acts by parents of human children is appalling. Domestic animal abuse and harm done to others by domestic animals is more prevalent I believe than exotic animals. Perhaps a study done which analyzes the amount of private exotic animals owners who have had events occur which put the family, animal or public at risk versus ones who have never had an incident, would help the fight against private exotic animal laws. I have been a human owned by monkeys for the last 30 years and I have never had an event occur which put my license or monkeys at risk. I take very seriously my responsibility to keep my monkeys safe from the public.
