Post of the week, from Oga Akins: Amidst the claims and counter-claims on rescue of our girls, seized lately by the Boko Haram Insurgents, I pitch my patriotic support to the men and women of the Nigeria military ...Our armed forces presently in the jungle-forests of Sambisa, and despite less than optimal motivation from politicians in very high places, continue to wage guerrilla warfare to protect us, against all odds! We should not continue to doubt our militarys competence and loyalty to our people. These men and women (soldiers) have been proven and adjudged to be amongst the very best by world authorities. Instead, lets shift an appropriate gaze to the Nigerian Administrators and ask hard questions on sincerity of their constitutional support, sustenance and loyal commitments to our military and other security forces. Mutiny by our soldiers, which is a possible back-lash from this unwise politics for their well being ...and flacks of disparaging and discouraging comments from those they are making supreme sacrifices for, will help no one. Ruth Dulac posits: It doesnt matter if youve failed or if youve been beaten. All that matters is that you learn something, get back up, and try again. Because winning is a good feeling, but winning when nobody else thought you could is an awesome feeling.” I add: Our thoughts remain with parents, hunters, vigilantes and other persons directly affected by these Boko Haram plunders ... But lets not relent at giving unalloyed supports and prayers to the Nigeria military, other security forces and agencies ... You and I have a role to play within our immediate space ... We should supply them with timely intelligence information and watch their backs while in battle even when those directly responsible engage in politrics, unwise reveleries and embezzlement of their pensions . We should feel their pains, their frustrations and temporary set-backs. We proclaim: Nigeria will surely prevail, Amen! ({}) Shalom
