Post production help required: Doing some post on a short doco for bugger all money for a not for profit and I have spent nearly all the time on just trying to get the bloody export into my DAW. Scenario: Final Cut pro X edit I run Reaper and Audition NOT Protools (this is my problem I am aware) Im trying to get the XML or AAF into either of these. Have tried AA Translator to convert for Reaper but it wont take AAF from Final Cut Have tried it for the XML but same again. Audition will supposedly take an XML (from Final Cut 7) so we have bought a $70 third party converter Xto7 and it wont accept that file either. Says Interchange File Does not contain any tracks- I cant find any errors online that mention that specifically... any ideas there? Have also tried importing the XML into Premiere to then export an OMF etc but again there is no cross over between ProX and PP. The only thing we do have is an export of the audio in three tracks Dialog, Music and Effects, but this is mixed down already and I need to be able to access the individual files. This is killing me. I hate APPLE. Has anyone battled this before?
