Post surgery update: Dr DiCicco was very pleased with my recovery so far. Im still swollen but he had me drink that nasty chalk stuff and we watched it flow through my pouch together on the x-ray machine. He says everything is as it should be and that the healing will continue for another 5 weeks. Dr DiCicco has given me a prescription for nausea since every time I try to drink my clear liquids Im getting sick to my stomach. BUT.....and this is important....I havent vomited yet just have an upset stomach and Dr DiCicco said thats all part of the healing process. Ive been given permission to eat my THICK liquids this week and actual chicken, fish etc next week. So I can now have anything that is the consistency of a milk shake just no using straws!! So bring on the mashed potatoes, grits and soft scrambled eggs!! :-) As for my ear ache he had no idea what was causing that and didnt even have the instrument to check my ear. :-( He advised me to see my primary care doctor......of course. So the grand total of weight lost since last Thursday is 18 pounds!!!!! Go me!!!! :-)
