Posting a Fb status is not something I do often, but cant resist it now after listening to what the Imam said after todays Taraweeh. He narrated how the knowledge of the exact date of the night of Qadr was taken away from the Ummah because of two Muslims arguing with each other. It just reminded me of the arguments that I see between brothers regarding various issues and recently Islamic State being the central issue of argument. I believe that both sides or all sides are sincere on their part, but it does not require us to taunt, belittle and laugh at the other brothers because of their opinion. It is possible that we are wrong and it is also possible that we are correct. Whichever, it may be it will do a great good to the Ummah if we all are a little more tolerant and respectful about our brothers. This Ramadan we tried to train ourselves to be patient, let us inshaaAllah implement this even with our brothers. InshaaAllah, the result will be something brothers of all opinions will cheerish, an Ummah that is united. :)
