Posting a little early, but: #TBT in honour of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. 2 photos I have never shown or shared before, but it shows the true face of Cancer. A little boy (23 months) in the arms of his mother after the first of 5 brain surgeries. This particular surgery took 13 LONG hours....because of the fluids given during the operation, he had massive water retention, as a result his eyes were swollen shut for about 72 hours......he was in panic mode for all waking hours during this time. This picture was taken minutes after he was able to open them again for the first time.....snuggling with mama, the best place to be, especially if you are a sick child. Cancer makes no distinction, it impacts us all. This little boy is my HERO, who is yours and why?
