Posting because Противника нужно знать в лицо... This video was published a while ago. As you know - this guy is as close as rebels have to the chief commander of their army. Ive become more interested in this person after accidentally reading book/diary by him two days ago, where he writes about his and his friends fighting for Serbs as russian volonteers company in Yugoslavia breakup civil wars, in 90-ies. And after reading yesterday what Latinina (S Echa Moskvi) wrote about this guy: echo.msk.ru/programs/code/1353376-echo/#element-text Brief version - Latinina consider him the one (possibly the only) somewhat noticeable/decent person among rebels leaders, and she seems to have a grudging respect for him, even though he is fighting on the wrong side of this conflict. After my own brief followup reseach into this guy and listening to him speak - I have to agree. Personally I dont think he is the paid immoral lackey working for russian GRU. Although I am sure he has connections among FSB , russian army and other similar places in Russia. But considering his earlier life and what he does and what he says/write - I think he is genuinely believes if what he is fighting for, and seem to be pretty honest. Especially noticable among various scum that raised atop of the Donetsk/Lugansk opposition. :( Bottom line - my impression are similar to those of Latininas - this guy seems to be more of Che Gevara mold, and a military adventurer, but not a paid agent-provokator from Kremlin. Unfortunately he is fighting for the bad guys in this conflict, which makes him an enemy. But an enemy that may deserve some respect...
