Posting for a friend: I am selling three dunduns that I bought from my dance teacher from Guinea (Africa). These are traditional drums made in Guinea. A dunun is a rope-tuned cylindrical drum with a rawhide skin at both ends, most commonly cow or goat. The drum is played with a stick. Depending on the region, a plain straight stick, curved stick with flat head or a straight stick with a cylindrical head attached at right angles near one end may be used to strike the skin. I have the dundunba, the sangban and the kenkeni. The largest drum measures 16 diameter x 28 high Medium: 13 diam x 22 high Small: 10 diam x 20 high I have had them for about a year at my home. I thought I would be practicing much more. I just dont find the time or space to use them now. They are in great condition, never repaired, never broke. Sound is great. $700 obo Contact frederique georges at fredgeorges58@hotmail.
