We are prepared for an immediate hiring for the successful candidate. ________________________________________________ Custodial Assistant Position Type: Part-time. Hours: The position is guaranteed to average 15 hours/week over the course of a six month period. Time flexibility is important in this role. The successful candidate will be required to work evenings and weekends Summary of Responsibility: The Custodial Assistant is under the supervision of the Head Custodian. Duties include: Maintaining a positive working relationship with the church staff and congregation Washroom cleaning: sinks, toilets, walls, and partitions Room setups and take-downs (including worship area and classrooms) Classroom cleaning (table tops, windows, counter-tops) Sweep, mop and vacuum floors throughout the church Emptying garbage and recycling materials into the Loraas bins on site Seasonal responsibilities: grass cutting; snow shovelling Security & supervision during facility rentals Reporting damage and risks to the Head Custodian Other duties as assigned by the Head Custodian Qualifications: Preference will be given to the individual who has demonstrated responsibility and proficiency in previous employment situations. A current Driver’s License is required. If the applicant is over 18 years of age a Criminal Record Check must be submitted. Opportunities: Where the expected responsibilities require certification or training, the church will cover the costs of training related to the particular need which the employee is being asked to fulfill. Compensation: Starting rate is $11.00/hour. This rate subject to increase at hiring based on the experience and competencies of the applicant. It can also be increased after the three month probation period given exceptional work performance.
