Power Outage: Today at around 11.30 we had a power cut to the Epsom campus. The power cut affected most but not all buildings, as some of our buildings are on a different circuit. The power cut also tripped a fire alarm in 6EJ block which called out the Fire service. This was identified as a false alarm caused by equipment in the ducts. Just before 12 we received word from Vector that power would be out till at least 1.30pm at which point the decision was made to send everyone home. We began the process of notifying everyone to go home and were part way through when the fault was rectified by Vector so the Epsom campus is still open this afternoon.
