Power of One believes in Unity in the Essentials, Liberty in the Non-Essentials, and in all things Charity and Love. Recently, Michael Gungor, a Dove Award winning Christian artist Life Promotions booked for Power of One, has found his name in the headlines stemming from some statements he made in 2012. It grieves us when people believe headlines and perceptions which can be taken out of context. As a result, however, Michael Gungor has decided to pull out of Power of One saying, “I’m sorry this has hurt your mission.” He shared his longings for unity in the Body of Christ. We chose Gungor because of their unique talent and enormous draw. Michael and his wife Lisa adhere to the Apostle’s Creed and are committed to calling people to Jesus Christ. Power of One will be held on October 11th at the Fox Cities P.A.C. For 24 years, Power of One has encouraged thousands of teens in their faith. Its purpose has always been to promote unity among denominations on the central message of the gospel. Switchfoot will perform at Power of One and Ben Crist from the Glorious Unseen will lead worship. In the afternoon there will be seminars for teens and youth leaders featuring Jonny Nelson, an affiliate of the NGA with Luis Palau, and Rick Mattson, a traveling evangelist for InterVartisy Christian Fellowship.
