Power within Us Read Ephesians 1:1 through 3:21 On February 15, 2013, a Carnival Cruise ship containing forty-three hundred guests caught fire in the engine room, cutting off power and leaving it adrift in the Gulf of Mexico. Power failures caused panic and problems among the passengers. What began as a four-day tour became an eight-day nightmare because the power supply failed. Fortunately, God’s power is limitless in quantity and potency. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations for ever and ever! Amen (Ephesians 3:20–21). God’s power is more than sufficient to meet any request that His people may make. In fact, God’s power is even beyond a human’s capacity to imagine. Ask God to meet whatever need you may have. No matter how bad things may seem, His Word declares He can do so much more than you can even measure.
