Powerful thoughts to begin the week. Father, I think I thank you for the invitation to be a leader among your people. (I think). Models of “kingdom leadership” are sometimes rare. My temptations are to scramble to feed religious consumers, create moments of emotional release, and be rhetorically pleasing. Help me be truthful, gentle, and loving. Deliver me from my internal Ahab and my external Jezebels. Teach me the foolishness of the cross… Amen
