Practice Peace!!! 7-29-2014 Peacemaker: Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for the will be called children of God. Dont allow anybody or anything to rent space in your head, except Jesus. By keeping your eyes fixed on the ultimate peacemaker Jesus you will be able to follow His example. When someone or something causes a storm in your life you will be able to surf the wave all the way to shore. Isaiah 57:18-19 I have seen their ways, but I will heal them; I will guide them and restore comfort to Israels mourners,19. creating praise on their lips. Peace, peace, to those far and near, says the Lord. And I will heal them. Isaiah 60:17 Instead of bronze I will bring you gold, and silver in place of iron. Instead of wood I bring you bronze, and iron in place of stones. I will make peace your governor and well - being your ruler. See how God has order in the end of these scriptures he says peace will bring well - being. Stress and unrest brings disease and discomfort. Dont stress the small stuff and remember our God is way bigger than any circumstance you are going through. The clashing worldly value is personal peace is pursued without concern for the worlds chaos. The more you let the chaos of the world slide off of you, the more you will understand your purpose in life. Gods reward is being called a child of God. How do we develop this attitude? Romans 12:9-21Amplified Bible (AMP) 9 [Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good. 10 Love one another with brotherly affection [as members of one family], giving precedence and showing honor to one another. 11 Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord. 12 Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of God’s people [sharing in the necessities of the saints]; pursue the practice of hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you [who are cruel in their attitude toward you]; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others’ joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others’ grief]. 16 Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble [aiming to be above reproach] in the sight of everyone. 18 If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for [God’s] wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay (requite), says the Lord. 20 But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head. 21 Do not let yourself be overcome by evil, but overcome (master) evil with good.Hebrews 12:10-11 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in His holiness. 11. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Father God I ask that you fill our hearts, minds and bodies with a peace that surpasses all our human understanding. Purify every fiber of our being and make us righteous and whole. Guide every step we take and may we bless those around us with the example of peace that you give us. In Jesus precious and peaceful name I pray. AMEN - Jody Palmer - Word of God Prayer House
