Prairie Middle School 8th graders learned life lessons from a former Sudanese refugee who spoke at the school last week. Saul faced years of hardship due to war within his country of South Sudan. He overcame many obstacles to get where he is today, as an Illinois student who just completed his doctorate degree. Saul is currently a hospice counselor, and believes his life experiences help him to help others. Thanks to teacher Megan Twadell who helped organize this special visit.
