As we keep our faith in the proper object of what Jesus did there on the cross as a daily focus, we are guaranteed help from the Holy Spirit. If there was another way, than Christ would not have needed to die for us. If we have faith in ourself we are relying on the flesh, and the flesh is the doorway to sin and death (Romans 8:2) Our walk with the Lord is steady process of placing our faith in Christ alone more and more.
