Praise our Almighty Lord and Savior!!!! CLAY WAS DISCHARGED TODAY!!!! It was a long, long road to figure out what was wrong with Clay but the final diagnosis is Histoplasmosis. Clay will have to remain on an anti-fungal for likely the rest of his life but our amazing God who guided the wonderful doctors caring for Clay brought him back to health without any signs of permanent damage to any of his organs!!!! Thank you so much for all of your prayers!!! We continue to feel them! Pictured is the Chief of Medicine at St. Lukes saying goodbye to Clay. They told Mom his case was one for the textbooks and has already been included in numerous peer discussions. We didnt want Clays case to have that distinction but we thank God for His wonderful providence through it all and all of our family and friends for the prayers and support! And I would be absolutely remiss if I didnt mention my wonderful friend, Dr. Julia Kellcy, for her instrumental role in Clays care from afar. Julia Kellcy, an absolutely brilliant ICU physician was there, just a phone call away, anytime we needed her during Clays most critical hours. Thank you my sweet friend! And then theres also our wonderful and brilliant pharmacist Dr. Jason Lowe, who we are blessed to call a family member. Thank you for all of your wonderful expertise! Another amazing individual we could call on day or night. We have a lot of favors to return yall! And words cannot describe what an amazing mom we have! By Clays side 24/7, and the most wonderful advocate you could ask for, she is always there and is our rock! Carolyn York Joines, we love you so much!!
