Pramod Muthalik – Ram Sene Chief - Coming Again The Sri Ram - TopicsExpress

Pramod Muthalik – Ram Sene Chief - Coming Again The Sri Ram Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik of Karnataka is coming again to our peaceful Goa. Here Goans of all communities live in brotherhood and harmony and we have no problems between us. This is an age old custom, tradition and way of living passed down by our ancestors to the present generstion. Let me confess that my ancestral surname was Joshi about 400 years ago when on conversion it was changed to da Costa. My younger blood brother is retired Commodore Emile Joshi of the Indian Navy. My eldest late blood brother was a Jesuit Priest and went as Rev Fr Pradeep Joshi who was a missionary in Guyana in South America for over thirty years before he passed away. There he used to conduct inter-faith prayer meetings for which he was much appreciated and loved. My Dad an emminent FRCS went as Major (Dr) Alberto da Costa-Joshi. He took part in the famous battles of the Middle East in Basra, Baghdad and Iraq during WWI. The Sri Ram Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik who is much detested in Krnataka for good reasons is not needed here. I have been President of the Catholic Association of Goa and used to get regular posts from te Gaholic Association of Karnataka and so I know quite a bit about the activities and antics of the Ram Sene Chief there, especially in the Mangalore Area. He and his group have attacked Christiian Places of Worship and other sister organisations, causing much anxiety, tension, hurt, damage and inter communal rivalry. But even there, the majority of our Hindu friends did not approve of his antics. Infact the Collector of Belgaum had been corageous enough to ban his entry into the district for a certain period of time. Why allow a potential trouble maker and rabble rouser to enter our peaceful State of Goa and create tension. Our Chief Minister has on several occssions taken action in such matters to prevent possible communal tension and clashes. The Catholic Community places its faith in him and appeals to him in all his wisdom to take such action now, as prevention is always better than cure. In Goa the Catholics have always looked upon the Hindu Community as our elder brothers in the family. The Inviation to him by the All India Hindu Convention (AIHC) for the meeting to be held at th Ramnithi Temple should be withdrawn. Pramod Muthaliks Plan to open branches of his anti Christian Orgganisation in Goa, should be countered with all the means at our disposal. There is a saying that we are reminded off, Never trouble, trouble; Until trouble, troubles you. By: Brig Ian da Costa, Spokesperson, Catholic Association of Goa.
