Pray for the political scenario of India. It is muddy water with many making it muddier and muddier – all for personal interest or family interest. It is dirtier than the river Ganges where tens of tons of sewage waste is pumped into by the very same people who call it Mother and Holy. We are going to face the national election next year. Whom we should vote for? Congress? Congress never stood for Christians. They favor the Muslims but never the Christians. They favor the Muslims because they stand as one body. Congress never care for Christians because we are divided into hundreds of groups. So no political party consider Christians as a vote bank but they try not to hurt those who are standing as a body – Muslims, Nairs/Ezhavas in Kerala, other castes in each state in other states. Do you know that it is the congress party that passed the anti-conversion bill in Orissa, MP and Aruncahal. It never stood with the Christians with our freedom to propagate our faith, freedom to worship which are guaranteed in our constitution. Or never made a strong statement against the attacks on Christians. BJP? It is an anti-Christian party. The leaders give silent permission to attack Christians, demolish the churches and burn our houses. Who else? None I could see. Who made a strong statement when our catholic nuns were raped, clergies were killed, and Christians were chased out of their home land and property? No one – absolutely no one. Who worked to give back the property that was lost? Which government to reinstate the Churches that were attacked or burnt down? No one. But I say – we must vote. Let us all vote next time to our conscience and elect a good candidate or at least the ‘least devil.’ But must we vote. The Christian leaders must request and educate all church members to vote. Let the politicians hear that we are voting. It will make them think. And more over, let us pray for our nation. India is our mother country. Let us also pray that born again Christians will contest.
