Prayer I heard a faint whisper in my ear I looked around but nobody was there the voice softly said pray for me shaken by this earnest plea I got down on my knees lifting my request up on high then I heard a small sigh so I prayed a little longer the voice was getting stronger I saw a face with a frown her eyes swollen filled with tears so I prayed a little longer a little stronger then it seemed as if Heaven opened up I could hear Angels singing wondering what this meant then I saw the girls face a little clearer then I knew she had a heavy burden for a girl to carry to young to feel alone covered by dark depression I ask God why Lord do you not hear me pray then he answered dear child Iam here the girls face appeared again but this time her face held a smile with a bright light about it it was then I knew why I had to pray Author Shirley Denton (©)2015
