Prayer Thought of the Day: August 7 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32 NIV We do not usually think of Scripture as containing logic but today’s verse proves otherwise. Paul’s argument is: God gave us His best gift in Christ, therefore, what reason could there be for God to withhold anything else? Where we deceive ourselves is all the “things” we believe good for us do not necessarily align with what God considers good for us. But that is actually great news! It means every circumstance, including those that are painful, will turn out for our benefit. At times, that stretches our faith but we already have the greatest proof of His love in the form of Jesus Christ.
