Prayer Troop Address Friday, Jan 2, 2015 We shall have not only what we say but also what we do and prepare for Too often people look at the scriptures lopsided, as individual passages and do not look at the full picture as a subject,or topic, or get the full understanding in a teaching. We often quote that we can have what we say in Faith, but neglect the fact that faith comes by hearing the “Word of God” and faith that takes root is measured in ACTION. So we have a people that believe but don’t speak what we believe, then a group that believes and speaks but does not put the principles into action. We must learn to be a people that believes, speaks, puts principles into action and then prays for an increase on that which we are acting upon. A great financial crisis in the form of a Financial Great Depression is on the way to the United States. Too many of us have ignored the scripture that tells us to be the lender not the borrower and weve overextended ourselves not only as individuals but as a Nation. The United States is in Trillions of dollars of debt. Foreign ownership of US Debt seems to be largely held by China and Russia. Both countries arent really our friends and have begun to dump our debt simultaneously. The Federal Reserve is tapped out so they can’t rescue us. So in essence we would be spiraling into a great depression unless some other country starts to buy the US debt that China and Russia are unloading. Who is buying that debt.....A mystery buyer in Belgium has started loading up on our debt at the same time that China and Russia is dumping. It’s not really Belgium because the funds extend beyond Belgiums financial capabilities so the thought is that the US is operating under the guise of Belgium to buy back our own debt. The US market is due to suffer an immanent collapse the likes of a Financial Terrorist Attack whose reach extends Globally. The prediction is that this massive undoing of the US economy will last at least 25 years. God used Joseph to store up 7 years of abundance to counteract the 7 years of famine that was to come. His family survived and their country was able to help surrounding countries because of Gods revealed word and will put into action by his people. When Israel (God’s chosen people) suffered in these judgments and times of famine, it was usually because of disobedience, idol worship, and general ignorance to the revealed will of God. We as believers cannot continue to say we will have what we say when the promise of that is predicated on obedience to God and action. Read the story around Mark 11:23. First of all Jesus had cursed a fig tree that should have had fruit on it but it was barren. So number 1. He is expecting fruit from us so that we won’t be cut away. 2. When he spoke of having what you pray for it was in line with the will of God, in faith to God, for the things of God, by the people of God who were praying and forgiving....(following a Gods commandments to realize a return of investment on that prayer causing them to be spiritually blessed). Let’s eat the whole loaf, not just the part that we like. These are the last days and the end is coming. Let’s prepare ourselves by getting rid of debt, getting rid of spiritual excess baggage (like unforgiveness and disobedience to the spoken, written and revealed) will of God. Put the word into practice to change YOU first, so that people around you can be helped because you allowed the true spirit and message of Jesus Christ to help you......Let it apply spiritually and translate to physical action that proves that it is really real to you. If youve promised God something then make good on your promise. He is expecting a return on His investment. Mark 11:20-25 Amplified Bible (AMP) 20 In the morning, when they were passing along, they noticed that the fig tree was withered [completely] away to its roots. 21 And Peter remembered and said to Him, Master, look! The fig tree which You doomed has withered away! 22 And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. 23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. 24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. 25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive himand [a]let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. James 1:19-25 19 Understand [this], my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. 20 For man’s anger does not promote the righteousness God [wishes and requires]. 21 So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted androoted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. 23 For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror; 24 For he thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like. 25 But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience). The Prophetic Word on the Way. Isaiah 24 Amplified Bible (AMP) 1Behold, the Lord will make the land and the [a]earth empty and make it waste and turn it upside down (twist the face of it) and scatter abroad its inhabitants. 2 And it shall be—as [what happens] with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor. 3 The land and the earth shall be utterly laid waste and utterly pillaged; for the Lord has said this. 4 The land and the earth mourn and wither, the world languishes and withers, the high ones of the people [and the heavens with the earth] languish. 5 The land and the earth also are defiled by their inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, disregarded the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore a curse devours the land and the earth, and they who dwell in it suffer the punishment of their guilt. Therefore the inhabitants of the land and the earth are scorched and parched [under the curse of God’s wrath], and few people are left. 7 The new wine mourns, the vine languishes; all the merrymakers sigh. 8 The mirth of the timbrels is stilled, the noise of those who rejoice ends, the joy of the lyre is stopped. 9 No more will they drink wine with a song; strong drink will be bitter to those who drink it. 10 The wasted city of emptiness and confusion is broken down; every house is shut up so that no one may enter. 11 There is crying in the streets for wine; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is banished and gone into captivity. 12 In the city is left desolation, and its gate is battered and destroyed. 13 For so shall it be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking and beating of an olive tree, or as the gleaning when the vintage is done [and only a small amount of the fruit remains]. 14 [But] these [who have escaped and remain] lift up their voices, they shout; for the majesty of the Lord they cry aloud from the [Mediterranean] Sea. 15 Wherefore glorify the Lord in the east [whether in the region of daybreak’s lights and fires, or in the west]; [glorify] the name of the Lord, the God of Israel in the isles and coasts of the [Mediterranean] Sea. 16 From the uttermost parts of the earth have we heard songs: Glory to the Righteous One [and to the people of Israel]! But I say, Emaciated I pine away, I pine away. Woe is me! The treacherous dealers deal treacherously! Yes, the treacherous dealers deal very treacherously. 17 Terror and pit [of destruction] and snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth! 18 And he who flees at the noise of the terror will fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the pit will be caught in the snare. For the windows of the heavens are opened [as in the deluge], and the foundations of the earth tremble and shake. 19 The earth is utterly broken, the earth is rent asunder, the earth is shaken violently. 20 The earth shall stagger like a drunken man and shall sway to and fro like a hammock; its transgression shall lie heavily upon it, and it shall fall and not rise again. 21 And in that day the Lord will visit and punish the host of the high ones on high [the host of heaven in heaven, celestial beings] and the kings of the earth on the earth. 22 And they will be gathered together as prisoners are gathered in a pit or dungeon; they will be shut up in prison, and after many days they will be visited, inspected, and punished or [b]pardoned. 23 Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, when [they compare their ineffectual fire to the light of] the Lord of hosts, Who will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and before His elders will show forth His glory. Footnotes: a. Isaiah 24:1 “The prophet transports himself in spirit to the end of all things. He describes the destruction of the world. He sees, however, that this destruction will be gradually accomplished. He here depicts the first scene: the destruction of all that exists on the surface of the earth... as even now occurs [in limited areas] as a consequence of wars... Jehovah empties, devastates, depopulates the surface of the earth...” (Johan P. Lange, A Commentary). “The writer feels that he is living in the last days, and in the universal wretchedness and confusions of the age he seems to discern the ‘beginning of sorrows.’ His thoughts glide almost imperceptibly from the one point of view to the other, now describing the distress and depression which exist, and now the more terrible visitation which is imminent” (The Cambridge Bible). b. Isaiah 24:22 The Hebrew word used here may mean visit in mercy as well as visit in punishment, but the context does not seem to indicate the possibility of mercy in this case.
