Prayer for Today..... Most kind and holy Father, Loving Saviour, abiding Comforter and Holy Spirit, as we slip into Your presence to breathe Your Name, we find peace, joy, love, forgiveness, grace and mercy. In Your presence our troubles vanish because You accept us as we are; unworthy, unclean and unholy. You encourage us to lay aside our every care, our concerns and all our despair. You wipe our tears and remove our fears. As we come into Your presence this morning, we beg Your forgiveness for the sins of yesterday and humbly ask that You will search our hearts and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Create in us a clean heart O Lord. Cast us not away from Your presence and renew a right spirit within us. Subdue the haughtiness within our hearts and help us to be unselfish as we try to emulate Your ways and display love and compassion to everyone. Even as we thank You for yesterday, we submit our all to You today and pray that we will abide in Your presence. Grant healing of body, soul and spirit today. Be with us as we labour for material blessings and help us to be thankful and faithfully return Your portion of that blessing. Be with the labourers in Your Vineyard and bless their efforts O Lord. Be with all who are grieving the loss of loved ones and with those who are struggling to survive these perilous days. Be with those who are struggling with physical, spiritual and mental illnesses. Walk through the institutions of care and be with those who render care and comfort, even to the dying soul. Touch and heal according to Your wishes. We bring each family and each of Your precious children into Your presence and plead Your intervention in every home and on every soul. Lord cleanse, heal and renew according to Your will.
