The woman asked me what was my favorite scripture, she came over and sat beside me. I told her proverbs 3: 5, 6. She wanted me to read it to her so I did. I asked if she was a Christian, she said she used to be but now she is a Buddhist. I talked to her a little while, gave a couple of testimonies and asked her if she wanted to come back to Christianity. She said no, she liked what she had, but she is interested. PLEAS PRAY FOR HER SALVATION. Pray for her to get rid of the false religion she has now and accept the one true God and invite Jesus into her heart. God is able and faithful. He opened a door and I know with His help, she will walk through it. God bless. Jeannie, a cherished disciple of Christ, was on our prayer list about 15 years ago after being diagnosed with breast cancer. To the glory of God, she became a cancer survivor at that time. This week Jeannie learned that ONCE AGAIN SHE HAS BREAST CANCER. She is to undergo an MRI and decisions will be made after that concerning the best treatment approach. Jeannie is an encourager and God has used her many times to encourage others and me. The Lord has used her faithfulness to Him in difficult times to teach me to “trust and rest” until His purpose is taught. Jeannie’s walk with the Lord is a great example of those we should emulate in the faith. Jeannie has never ceased striving to allow God to work in her life and at the same time she has never doubted the sufficiency of His grace. Once again, WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIFT HER NAME UP TO THE FATHER as she walks through this trial. I remember Jeannie’s comment 15 years ago in the midst of her cancer treatment. She said, “My prayer is that the Lord be glorified.” UPDATE: THE DEAR MEMBER OF FOREST HEIGHTS BAPTIST CHURCH AND FORMER WORK COLLEAGUE of mine for which I asked prayer on Tuesday is doing very well. SHE IS ALREADY OUT OF THE CARDIAC ICU AND THE DOCTOR SAID THE SURGERY WENT WELL. Her son and daughter-in-law were with her when I visited on Wednesday. The initial plan is that SHE WILL GO TO HEALTHSOUTH when well enough to undergo rehabilitation. She was sitting up, in no apparent pain and conversing at ease. Thanks, Susie Mellie Weymouth I just spoke with my daughter and she has been to the hospital to see Agatha and said her Aunt, an RN, was there with her (stays with her) and they did not operate as felt it would do no good and the brain swelling was at 21 today...had been 27 so the doctors consider her stable at this time and she has passed the crucial 48 hour time period and is still alive...Thanks to our Merciful God! She has a slight temperature today but not enough to concern the doctors. Tomorrow they may take an MRI to determine what brain damage she might have. God is keeping her alive and we pray she will recover and not have any significant brain damage and this will be a Miracle...but our God is a God of Miracles. We Praise Him she has made it thus far and trust Him to heal her little body and brain. I will keep you updated as I hear any current news.
