Prayers for My Brother Ed AKA “Bing” as in Bing Crosby. I believe the Angels are calling Him. Ed was given this nickname by all sides of the Family, because he loved to sing. Ed sang McNamara’s Band for the entire Nativity Parish School when he was in seventh grade on St. Patrick’s Day. Ed became a member of the Purcell High School Glee Club. Ed also loved to play baseball. He played at Purcell and managed and played on an outstanding softball team for the St. John’s Mens Club. Ed had such Notables on his team as Fr. Seville, Roger Staubach, Vince Eysoldt and Roger Theising. Ed played organized softball into his forties. Ed is a Fourth Degree Knight. Ed served in the United States Army, Military Police and earned the rank of Master Sargent. Ed married the love of his life Mary Koeninger and raised six loving children. Ed has Seventeen Grandchildren and Fifteen Great Grandchildren. Ed is well known in Bellevue, Kentucky and St Stephen’s Church for his charitable acts and service to the community. I love my Brother.
