Preacher: Sister Idaline Joelle. Topic: GENERATION OF HEARERS! Generation of hearers, but not doers; what exactly do generation of hearers want you hear? They want to hear prosperity gospel, signs and wonders, blessings, miracles, financial breakthrough and someone to cajole them in their sinful lifestyle. (See: 2 Timothy: 3:1:9; 2 Timothy: 4:1: 4) Those who are merely hearers of God’s word, listeners, readers, seers and those clicking like will NOT inherit God’s Kingdom. Selah. They do not want to share God’s word with their friends at University, their families and colleagues at work, they do not want to hear holiness, righteousness, to live peaceably with all men, to forgive others, to love one another, to reconcile to their brothers, sisters and family members, to get out of black magic, white magic, occultism, Rose Croix, Illuminati, New age, church of satan, church of Mormons, to stop using evil powers behind the pulpit and to get out of other satanic groups and activities they belong to. (See: 1Peter: 1:15:16, Hebrews: 12:14:17, 1 John: 3:14:15, Ephesians: 4:32, Matthew: 5: 21:26) The Bible says: But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James: 1:22: 25 You are only deceiving yourselves if all you do is to hear God’s word, but not do what is you are hearing. Galatians: 6:7:8 says: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. TO WHAT SHOULD I COMPARE THIS GENERATION OF HEARERS? Jesus Christ said in Matthew: 21: 28:31: But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, that the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. Notice the second son who said I go sir, did not go. But why did he say: “SIR” if he knew he was not going? Jesus Christ asked: And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Luke: 6:46 Jesus Christ has commissioned us saying: Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark: 16:15:16 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew: 28:18: 20 How many souls have you led to Jesus Christ from January 2014 until today? How many people have you shared God’s word with in your community? How many people have you shared God’s word with apart from those on your friend’ list? When was the last time you interceded for others? Visited the sick and the prisoners? When was the last time you fed the poor and orphans? TO WHAT SHOULD I COMPARE THIS GENERATION OF HEARERS? And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Luke: 6:46 No wonder Jesus Christ said: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew: 7:21 Therefore say I unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you (HEARERS), and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Matthew: 21:43 And I say unto you, that many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew: 8:11:12 And he came to the second, and said likewise. Mark: 7:6 TO WHAT SHOULD I COMPARE THIS GENERATION OF HEARERS? In order for one to do Greater works than what Jesus Christ did, he or she must first have the mind of Jesus Christ. (See: Philippians: 2:5:11, Matthew: 9: 35:36; 14:14:21; 15:32: 38, Heb: 7:25) You could argue by saying, Jesus Christ: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John: 14:12 You believe in Christ Jesus that is fine, but are you doing what He has asked you to do? Are you preaching the gospel? Are you winning the lost souls into His Kingdom? Are you visiting the sick, the prisoners and feeding the poor? James: 2:19 says: Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. You believe in Jesus Christ that is fine; satan also believes there is one God and even transforms himself into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians: 11:14:15 You MUST first have the mind of Jesus Christ in order to do more than what He did. If you are only doing your own will, not God’s will how can you do greater works than what Jesus Christ did? Words of Jesus Christ in John: 6:38: For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. (See also: Mark: 14:36, John: 5:30) TO WHAT SHOULD I COMPARE THIS GENERATION OF HEARERS? But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. And I believe that you were raised from the dead, so that I may be justified. Right now, I ask you to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I confess you now as my Lord and my Saviour. Thank you because I am NOW born again and a brand new person and that I will one day be with you in heaven. In Jesus’ name I pray Amen!
