Prediction: somewhere around October 12-15 it will be announced that Adrian Petersen has signed a plea deal. It will involve unintended injury to a child. He will get probation, be required to make a sizable donation to a childrens organization. Be forced to take counseling for proper discipline that doesnt involve spanking. And that will be the news and public focus again, on the issue of spanking rather than the perpetrator. And instead of the focus being on terrible people who do god awful things to kids (like Adrian did) it will shift from our nations precious cargo, the highly paid and talented sports athletes to the issue of spanking. And this perpetrator will be free to go about making millions of dollars. And the NFL as well as the American people will send another message. That its ok to abuse a child as long as you are talented and making a team money. Weve seen this countless times like with Miguel Cabrera and the time he was drunk driving and threatened numerous times to kill a police officer.
