Pregnancy can be an emotional roller coaster, do you have any help - TopicsExpress

Pregnancy can be an emotional roller coaster, do you have any help or advice for this mum to be? Im currently pregnant with my first baby, which was planned and both me and my partner are really excited about but Im starting to cry over everything, which is probably just my hormones but Im getting worried about post natal depression and starting to panic that Im not going to bond with my baby like Ive always imagined that I would. All of our families are really excited, but every time someone says theyre excited or cant wait for their grandchild/nephew/cousin to come I start to get really worried and it upsets me! Im starting to have sleepless nights worrying about too many people coming to visit in the hospital, or people that we dont want there turning up and people overstaying their welcome or just popping in whenever they feel like it when we get home. Both me and my partner like to have our own space and both feel we will need a little bit of time when baby comes to get used to things. We are happy for visitors but dont want to be bombarded with people every minute of every day as we both have big families. How do I tell people that we only want a few people at the hospital and want a bit of time to ourselves when baby arrives, before any visitors turn up? And that when we are home we would like to be given some space?
