Pregnant women in New Zealand are wanted for a Massey University study to uncover why some mothers choose to exclusively breastfeed their babies. School of Health and Social Services researcher and a PhD student Narges Alianmoghaddam said breastfeeding was known as an advantageous method of nourishment. Research showed the proportion of infants breastfed at 3 months and 6 months in New Zealand was 55.8 per cent and 7.6 per cent respectively, she said.
