Preparations by State Administration for 16 May : 1 – Adequate measures have been taken so no untoward incidents happen on 16 May. 2 – Appeal to public to extend full cooperation to the authorities for maintaining peace in State. 3 – Hospitals of all four districts have been fully geared up to provide immediate relief to people. The presence of Doctors and para-medical staff in sufficient numbers is ensured. 4 – Wireless sets and Mobiles shall be utilized for transmitting the messages rather than receiving only. No communication gap shall take place under any circumstances. The messages shall be forwarded immediately. 5 – Two companies of Kolkata Armed Police have been retained in State. Eight companies of IRBn shall be also arriving today. The force will be strategically located in State. 6 – Dry Days until 17 May. 9 – BSNL has been instructed that no network problem should occur on 16 May. 10 – Power Department is directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply on 16 May.
