Prepare now for Your Ultimate there has been an appointment made - TopicsExpress

Prepare now for Your Ultimate there has been an appointment made for every one of us that most people would like to avoid. It is appointed unto men once to die, but after that the judgement. (Hebrews 9:27) Each person will one day have to keep their ultimate appointment, when they come face to face with a holy God who hates sin. He knows all of your thoughts, and you will be judged for them (Isaiah 55:7). You will be judged for every idle word that you have ever spoken (Matthew 12:36), and for every deed that you have ever done (Revelation 20:13). Have you prepared for this appointment yet? Will you be able to answer an all powerful, all knowing God, who will accept no excuses on that day? Some may think that they are not sinful, but God says they are: For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). If we say that we have not sinned, we make him (God) a liar, and his word is not in us (1 John 1:10). The punishment for sin is to be cast into hell: And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15). The good news is that God has made a way out for every one of us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31). Jesus is the only way that sinners can be saved. He said: I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, except through me (John 14:6). And there is salvation in no other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which it is necessary for us to be saved (Acts 4:12). All ways that profess to get to God other than through Jesus Christ give a false hope. God loves you, and wants you to be saved. He wants you to inherit the eternal life that Jesus has purchased for you, and a new earth that he will make for his people (Revelation 21:1). Be prepared to repent of your sins, to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, and to be born again by the spirit of God (John 3:5). For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Joel 2:32, Romans 10:13).
