Prepare yourself for a career in Aeronautical - TopicsExpress

Prepare yourself for a career in Aeronautical Engineering… Aerospace Engineering is both challenging and rewarding. India’s ‘Chandrayan’ mission, ‘Mars’ mission and many other space related missions planned by NASA are examples of challenging careers. Aeronautical Engineering is a special field of engineering and relates to the study of aerodynamics, aircraft structures and the propulsion systems used to power the aircraft for flying. Apart from these major areas of study, it also encompasses the study of various systems and services installed in an aircraft and its engine for their safe and useful operation. The study is aimed to develop a theoretical understanding of the operation of each system, major assemblies and components of aircraft and the design philosophies used in their manufacture. MRIU offers a B. Tech program in Aeronautical Engineering (4-year Normal Entry / 3 year Lateral Entry). The Aeronautical Engineering Department at MRIU was established in 2008. The department is headed by Dr. R.S.Tarnacha who is retired from the Indian Air Force after having worked on transport & fighter aircrafts for 25 years. The faculty members in Aeronautical Engineering are well qualified, holding Ph.D. and M.Tech qualifications in Aerospace Engineering from Premier Institutions in India / foreign Universities and have rich experience in aircraft maintenance / design and development of aircraft and rocket systems gathered from their previous tenures in IAF/ISRO/HAL. Such a practical experience is of great advantage to students to get first-hand information on modern technologies/practices followed in the aerospace industry.
