Present reading: The Mounties - Tales of Adventure and Danger from the Early Days by Elle Andra-Warner (Very exciting because as it was the Hudsons Bay Company in which employed the RCMP (NWMP) during the early days before moving completely West to BC. Fort St. James, BC is where my Grandfather was from and he was born in 1926. Stories told to me of what was considered New Caledonia at the time and also the capital of British Columbia, and the heritage of our family name, family island, and the fur trade in British Columbias capital city where my Paternal heritage is from, and its link to Chief Kwah, and our connection to England even and this shit rocks. My Great Grandmother came directly from England in about 1929/30 to BC, never imaging her daughter would marry at full blood Native man, let alone at the time of 1950 an EDUCATED Native man who was influenced through many companies such as BC Hydro and Nations of Chiefs. blah blah blah. So, Im excited to read this other side. ;)
