***Preserving Your Generation (Part 3)*** PASSION FOR IMPACT (Part 3) Gen. 37:1-24. So far, we have been learning some secrets from the life of Joseph. First of all, we discovered that he saw a picture of his future and he believed that he would get there some day. His challenges started when his brothers hated him and decided to kill him, but one of them (Reuben) spoke on his behalf. They finally kept him in a pit. But before putting him in that pit, something happened. In verse 23, the bible states that ...when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; This is a deep secret that was revealed here. Before they kept him in the pit, they removed his coat of many colours. Now according to verse 3, the bible recorded that Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours. We can see that the coat was a special gift that his father gave to him. The coat was beautiful with many colours. Now the lesson we have to learn here is that the enemy is seriously after our gift and the glory that God has placed on us. There are great potentials that God has deposited in you. God has endowed you with gifts, honour and glory, but the devil is looking for the slightest chance to rob you of that gift and make you empty. Now why is the enemy after the gift? The bible says in proverbs 18:16 that A mans gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. Your gift is your life. Your gift is Gods glory upon your life. Your gift could even be a special anointing that God has deposited in you to do exploits and wonders. Now you must protect it jealously. When the enemy succeeds in robbing a man of his gift, he will then lower that man into the pit. That was exactly what they did to Joseph. They stripped him of his gift and lowered him into the pit. The bible also recorded in Gen. 37:24 that “…and the pit was empty, there was no water in it” When a man is lowered, he becomes empty and useless, may that not be your portion. So how do you guard your gift? Lets check again. In verse 23, the bible states ...when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; notice that it was when Joseph came to his brothers (enemies) that his gift was stolen and he was lowered into the pit. You must be far from the enemy before your can protect your gift. You must not make any contact with the devil. In other words, there must a reasonable distance between you and satan. You must abstain from any form of sin that will open the door for satan to get you and rob you. He only comes to steal, kill and destroy. You must never play with anything that will create a link between you and the enemy. When you open that door, the first thing the enemy will do is to rob you of your gift, your glory and anointing before he finally lowers you into the pit and makes you useless and irrelevant, God forbid. If you must preserve your generation, you must protect your life, your gift, your anointing and the glory of God upon your life. OH GOD, HELP US TO PROTECT OUR GIFT, ANOINTING AND GLORY IN JESUS NAME... Amen ***get the audio message (PASSION FOR IMPACT) here: https://opendrive/files?NV80MTMyMTcxNV93QjFVcQ
