President Barack Obama endeared himself to me yet again at YALI Washington Town Hall meeting with two special and remarkable announcements. First,the YALI Washington Fellowship will now become Mandela Washington YALI Fellowship. Second,the fellowship capacity will be expanded to 1000 fellows. However,what wasnt clear to me in that historic speech is if the core basis of selecting that exceptional young lady from Mozambique or Zimbabwe was based on her demonstrable perseverance for traveling long distance to make the interview or other sterling qualities. Congratulations to all African countries represented by dynamic and emerging young leaders from the continent.I am currently briefing up my biography,investing in personal development and contributing to social good and hopefully my profile will be more attractive if not irresistible before the next YALI.Special thanks to Microsoft Africa and other partners.
