President Goodluck Jonathan remains my man of the year, any-day - TopicsExpress

President Goodluck Jonathan remains my man of the year, any-day anytime! Just listen with rapt attention to this great Nigerian for the sake of great revelations whenever he makes a speech. He was absolutely spot on, when he called on General Buhari to put a stop to the on going charade in the name of campaigns but concentrate on telling Nigerians what he intends doing. His assertion that Buhari was unable to make any impact on Nigerian economy while a young Head-Of-State and cannot do more now that he cannot remember his own Phone Number, was much revealing; and within hours of making that assertion , Nigerians are now face to face with the full manifestation of that little revelation. I had wanted to laugh over this but realized that the situation has gone beyond be-careful. That Pa Buhari failed to recollect the name of his new VP aspirant is not the issue, but the real issue is the cause of such anomaly and its direct implication to the governance of a Nation. Study has shown that as you age your mental alertness may be altered. Memory loss comes naturally with old age- I was told! Study has also shown that people suffering from Retrograde Amnesia are more likely to remember general knowledge, but recent memories are less likely to be recovered, while older memories will be easier to recall. That is to say that it is not out of place for a Grandpa to forget the names of his 2ic, who is virtually new to him, as was the case in Owerri. Any wonder he does not operate in the same frequency with most Nigerians, and has refused to come to terms with the present realities? Any wonder he talks about improving the economy when every world economic statistics or indices are showing that Nigerian is now among the best and improving economy in the world? Any wonder this man believes that every situation in Nigeria has FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION as its solution including Child Bearing? Any wonder he infers that fight against insurgency is like fighting and killing the Biafrans? Any wonder he regularly infers that Our Military are ill equipped, maybe with the mindset that the same Military Hardware in the 80s are still in vogue in this 21st century? Any wonder he still believes Nigeria is in a Military regime, where he can dictatorially fight Igbo, Fight Yoruba, and Fight Housa, including Stabilizing of Global Oil Market? Any wonder anybody close to him or is able to dash him money like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu , Gov Owelle Rochas Okorocha , and Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi are no longer corrupt, just like in the 80s where people close to him where sent on vacation in a palatial building while the his perceived enemies were sent to romance the Rods in Kirikiri? What about seeing Barack Obama and referring to him as Vladimir Putin ; or seeing Lady Patience Jonathan and taking her to be Michelle Obama while in an International engagement and what would such an embarrassment be like? Nigerians should shine their eyes and look beond the ongoing rhetoric before they lip, for there is no known Medicine to repackage Old Age.
