President Hifikepunye Pohamba has appointed Chief of Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mbapewa Muvangua, as High Commissioner-Designate to Botswana. Deputy Inspector-General for Operations in the Namibian Police Force, Viliho Hifindaka was also appointed Ambassador-Designate to the newly established mission in Congo Republic. The Head of State also announced the Heads of Mission at two new diplomatic missions in Africa and one in Europe.
