They forced an employee to enter the security code from the front door keys and went inside. There was at that time a large editorial meeting in progress. The masked men came to the editors, the names of some journalists and shots called them. Ten journalists were slain and certainly got five of them injured. One of the dead is the editor, Steph Anne Charbonnier, who since 2013 had a hit list of al-Qaida. The cartoonists Cabu, Tignous and Wollinski died as the economist and journalist Bernard Maris. The attack took about 10 minutes. After the attack jumped two offenders in a black Citroen. Whether and how the other perpetrator escaped, is still unclear. There is a firefight between the perpetrators and the police who are trying to block the escape of the Citroen. The gunmen managed to escape and injuring a policeman and several pedestrians in their flight. A few blocks further stop two perpetrators to shoot a policeman. Then they drive on. Their getaway car is later found at a subway station in the northeast of Paris . They have stopped another car and the driver forced to relinquish his car. The new flight car is a gray Renault Clio. Against the owner of the getaway car, the terrorists would have said that al-Qaeda in Yemen is behind the attack. Since then, there is no trace of the perpetrators.
