President John Dramani Mahama has chaired the first meeting of the Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy. This Group is focusing exclusively on the implementation of measures and strategies to speed up economic recovery and generate opportunities for all Ghanaians. Members of this strategic group – chaired by the President - include Vice-President Amissah-Arthur, Finance Minister Seth Terkper, former Finance Minister Dr Kwesi Botchway, eminent economist and Investment Consultant Kwame Pianim, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Kofi Wampah, and former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana Nana Oye-Mansa Yeboah. The meeting held at Peduase Lodge considered all policy options. The President’s Transformational Agenda, developments in the oil and gas sector, and debt sustainability, were also high on the agenda. It is expected that Ghana’s economic recovery would be realized by the end of this year. END
