President Mahinda Rajapaksa made an inspection visit to the Hambegamuwa Ancient Viharaya in Thanamalwila this morning (Sep. 5), to inquire into the conservation activities of the Viharaya. The President instructed the officials of the Department of Archaeology to start the conservation activities without delay. තණමල්විල හම්බෙගමුව පුරාණ විහාරයේ සංරක්ෂණ කටයුතු පිළිබඳ සොයා බැලීමට ජනාධිපතිතුමා අද (සැප්.5) පෙරවරුවේ එහි නිරීක්ෂණ චාරිකාවක නිරත විය. සංරක්ෂණ කටයුතු කඩිනමින් ආරම්භ කරන ලෙස ජනාධිපතිතුමා මෙහිදී පුරවිද්යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නිළධාරීන්ට උපදෙස් ලබා දුන්නේය. இன்று (செப். 5) காலையில் ஜனாதிபதி மஹிந்த ராஜபக்ஷ தனமல்விலவிலுள்ள ஹம்பேகமுவ புராதன விகாரையின் காப்பு நடவடிக்கைகள் தொடர்பாக வினவுவதற்காக கண்காணிப்பு விஜயமொன்றை மேற்கொண்டார். காப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளை தாமதமின்றி ஆரம்பிக்குமாறு தொல்பொருளியல் திணைக்கள அதிகாரிகளுக்கு ஜனாதிபதி பணிப்புரை விடுத்தார்.
