President Obamas pretend NSA reforms amount to a betrayal. Congress, the Courts, & the Corporate Media dont have any respect for or plans to protect the privacy of ordinary Americans. The plain meaning of the Fourth Amendment is that not only is the Government not allowed to spy on or gather information about people without probable cause-but their duty is to protect our information! The threat of terrorism that is mostly a result of our Governments evil policies of unjust wars & sanctions, violence against civilians, coups, economic exploitation, & regime change does not justify taking our rights away. Our Government is keeping us under surveillance, they are-at the behest of the corporate elite-impoverishing us, & they violate our rights at every step of the criminal injustice system. Mass surveillance makes tyranny possible.
