Presidents Message - Call for volunteers Throughout the season we travel from club to club and as we step out onto the field very often the first thing a player comments on is the state of pitch they are about to play on. We all know what it feels like to play on a field that is sandy, hard, weedy, uneven and unmaintained. It is very difficult to maintain fields during the season and a lot of work is involved to keep them in a reasonable state. As we are a not-for-profit community club we rely heavily on our volunteers, so as your club president and a fellow team member/player, I courteously urge you, if you can spare an hour or two of your time please come down to the field on Saturday to help us Airate and Top dress field 1, we would be very grateful. Let’s take pride in our fields and the knowledge that when other clubs step out onto our pitch they won’t be able to blame poorly maintained fields for any defeats they may endure against a strong and proud Centenary Stormers team.
