Press Release- Drug Arrests On Monday, December 29, 2014, at approximately 4:19 pm, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to the Howard Johnsons Hotel on the Black Horse Pike, in the West Atlantic City section of the township, in reference to a domestic incident. Officers Joseph Coady, Robert O’Donoghue and James Macpherson made contact with both the victim and the suspect. The suspect, William Tilghman (32 years of age from Atlantic City), was taken into custody for domestic assault and 3 outstanding warrants for his arrest. Through the Officer’s investigation at the scene it was discovered the victim, Brittany Goodrich (22 years of age from Somers Point), had provided a false name, was wanted on 2 outstanding warrants and was in possession of over 600 bags of heroin. Goodrich was also taken into custody. Further investigation into this incident by Detectives Richard Vogt and Scott Hiltner of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau located 2 additional bricks of heroin in the couple’s room at the Howard Johnsons. Goodrich was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tilghman was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, domestic assault and conspiracy. Municipal Court Judge H. R. Switzer set bail on both at $25,000.00 full and they were lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
