Press Release Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports his deputies arrested a male for possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. This arrest is a result of deputies on high visibility traffic enforcement for the National “Click it or Ticket” blitz. A vehicle was stopped on State Route 219 near Township Line Road. Steven J. Watt, age 26, of 117 East South Street in Coldwater, was issued a written warning for his speed, and issued summons for possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A suspected marijuana roach, rolling papers, suspected marijuana seeds, and several small plastic containers with suspected marijuana residue inside. The Sheriff’s Office requested assistance on the scene by a K-9 Unit from the Coldwater Police Department. In addition to working high visibility traffic enforcement, Deputies are also actively working drug interdiction in an effort to keep our roadways safe, and the Sheriff’s Office continued effort to battle the heroin epidemic.
