Press Release Public Notification On May 31, 2014, the Hawkins County Sheriffs Office and Mt. Carmel Police Department will be conducting sobriety checkpoints. The checkpoints are funded through a grant, which Hawkins County Sheriffs Office and Mt. Carmel Police Department received through the Governors Highway Safety Office.
