[Press Release by Teh Yee Cheu, ADUN Tanjung Bungah, Director of Penang Green Council (PGC Strategies Sdn Bhd) and Organising Chairman of Penang Green Expo on 18 July 2013.] Penang Green Expo 2013: Tailored Made Family Activities " I AM HEALING THE EARTH"- Photography Contest Penang Green Council is organising the second photography contest, themed “I AM HEALING THE EARTH” in conjunction with Penang Green Expo 2013, co-organised by Penang Photographers Network Club (PGN). Sponsors for this contest are Nikon (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and Excel Photo Trading. Photographer enthusiasts stand a chance to win attractive prizes from our very supportive sponsors- Nikon (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and Excel Photo Trading for the contest! The total prize is more than RM 6,000 including 3 NIKON camera sets, camera accessories and cash prizes. The objective of this photography contest is to record and depict the environmental situation in Malaysia and green efforts by the people through the lens of the photographers. The photo contest is open to all Malaysian citizens. All photographs must be captured in Malaysia. All contestants must submit the complete contest form and the entry(ies) in (5R) (5" × 7" or 127 × 178 mm) size printed on any photographic paper via postal mail or by hand to Penang Green Council. Contest form can be obtained from any Nikon and Canon distributor outlets located in Penang Road or downloaded from pgc.my. The photo entries will be judged based on overall technical quality, composition and originality by the panel of judges. The closing date for the submission of entries and contest forms is 30th August 2013. All the shortlisted winners will be invited to a Prize Giving Ceremony, tentatively on 21st September 2013. Photo entries will be displayed during the Penang Green Expo 2013, from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm at Penang International Sports Arena (PISA). The Penang Green Expo 2013 is a warm-up green event for Penang International Green Carnival 2014.
