Press Release of Ncell NPL Press Release 08/05/2014 We are pleased to release the tie sheet of much awaited Ncell NPL 2014 organised by Cricket Association of Nepal and event managed by Zohra Sports Management. Kindly find the attached tie sheet for 50 overs and T20. The following are the changes we have done in the Ncell NPL for this year. • Two days format cancellation – Unfortunately two days format has been cancelled this year coz of extreme weather conditions in the far west and Terai region. Earlier the tournament was scheduled to commence around 10th April with all three formats but due to unavoidable circumstances the Ncell NPL is starting from 14th May onwards. Since we are delayed by 5 weeks hence understanding the local weather conditions the entire players came up with a serious concern on extreme sunburn and other possible injuries. This was cancelled on a mutual understanding with all SIX captains before their departure to ACC trophy in Malaysia. However Two days format shall be resumed from next year. • Birtnagar / Rajbiraj venues all cancelled for this year. This is mainly coz of possible rain nowadays. These venues DO not have the proper drainage facilities nor do they have ground covers for wet condition understanding the unpredictable rain these days at the end of May. • Round Robin League – Now both the formats of 50 overs and T20 to be played in Round Robin. Opening Ceremony – Zohra Sports Management is working for a innovative concept of opening ceremony with a musical program to start with followed by flag ceremony. Lots of high profile dignitaries are expected to be part of the show at Fapla Cricket Ground – Dhangadi sharp 9am. All the press media are cordially invited for the opening ceremony. #NcellNPL #NPL
